AstroGear Mini PC Controller is a compact, field-ready Windows 11 Pro system, pre-configured and tested to get you imaging faster. With N.I.N.A., PHD2, Stellarium, ASTAP, ASCOM, and more already installed, it’s ready on day one to run your cameras, mounts, focusers, and accessories. It runs directly from 12 V DC, includes a custom mobile hotspot for off-grid control, and is lightweight enough to mount on your telescope. Fast storage and ample memory ensure smooth captures, guiding, and plate solving — without the setup headaches.
Unlike standard mini-PCs, your AstroGear controller is configured with a custom hotspot service that ensures you always stay connected in the field.
If internet is available (via ethernet or WiFi), it’s shared over the hotspot.
If not (field use), a loopback connection is shared so the hotspot still works for direct WiFi control.
This ensures you always have a reliable connection to the controller — even off-grid. N.I.N.A. also launches on boot, so remote operation through Touch ’N’ Stars is available immediately. Preferred operation is via remote desktop, giving you full Windows control over WiFi.
