The Ares-C Pro pairs a 1" Sony IMX533 color sensor with deep cooling and dual sampling modes to help you capture faint deep-sky detail and fast planetary sequences. Its combination of 3.76 µm pixels, 9 MP resolution and active thermal control lets you choose speed or the lowest read noise for the target and conditions.

The camera uses a Sony IMX533 1" square color sensor with a 3008 x 3008 pixel array and 3.76 µm pixels. That format and pixel size provide a 16 mm diagonal field suitable for many telescopes, giving high-resolution frames for both small targets and wide fields when matched to the correct focal length.
Ares-C Pro features a two-stage TEC cooler that can reach roughly 35 to 40 degrees Celsius below ambient. The camera also integrates an anti-dew heater and thermal dissipation design to reduce condensation and stabilise sensor temperature during long exposures.
Choose Normal mode for faster capture rates, for example planetary work, or LRN mode for lower read noise suitable for deep-sky integration. Reported read noise ranges from about 4.46 e minus down to roughly 1 e minus in the low-noise mode.
The camera body uses carbon-fibre construction to keep weight around 420 grams. It includes a front three-point tilt plate by default and an optional rear four-point tilt plate for use with filter wheels, off-axis guiders or RASA-style setups. A high-density shading sponge helps block side light.
Ares-C Pro offers a large full-well of about 73,000 electrons to capture strong signal without early clipping, plus a 512 MB DDR3 buffer to smooth streaming and reduce dropped frames. Connections include USB Type-C supporting USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 operation for compatibility.
